Bari, Monopoli, Polignano A Mare & Alberobello

Italy

Notes From Kevin

I would have to say that Alberobello has easily been the greatest surprise so far on this trip. It was really cool but our joy for it may have had a lot to do with the fact we got there before the sun came up and left shortly after the big gaggle of tourists showed up. Dang tourists...

At the Red Bull cliff diving event the men were jumping from 88 feet up which led me to realize I have probably been over-estimating every cliff jump I've ever seen in person.

When we got to Lecce our AirBnB host laughed at me for wanting to eat lasagna. She called a friend to ask where we could find it and all I caught was "Americans want to eat lasagna." Anyway, we later learned that lasagna IS a common food but that it is more along the lines of our casseroles and meant primarily for family occasions. We were able to find a few places that served it and were very satisfied. These were all much better than the fish lasagna I accidentally ordered in Bari.
