Notes From Kevin

The Good: The Royal Palace was beautiful, especially the entryway. The pizza at the world's first pizza place, Port'Alba was top notch and a great experience.

The Weird: In the courtyard of the Royal Palace is Rosa Parks' original home. Yes, our Rosa Parks, from Detroit.

The Bad: It felt like we were in a third world country. There was trash and animal poop along the roads and sidewalks. The sidewalks were also very skinny and frequently blocked by restaurant seating, vehicles, etc., which required us to walk in the streets and dodge moped after moped. There was graffiti everywhere, and fences surrounded many monuments for an unknown reason (possibly to protect them from graffiti?). Areas under construction had uncovered scaffolding, which I have noticed is customary in most every country we have been.

Overall score: 3
